Structure optimization of grinding rod based on VERICUT simulation

摘要: 针对用于加工某种非回转体锥罩的大长径比磨杆,采用加工仿真的方法来探究其在不碰撞情况下的最大尺寸。确定磨杆初始尺寸并建立三维模型,利用CATIA软件生成覆盖罩体内廓表面的加工轨迹,并开发专用后处理器来生成G代码。通过VERICUT软件完成加工仿真,根据仿真结果优化磨杆结构,缩减磨杆碰撞处直径,增大磨杆不碰撞处直径。优化后确定了磨杆尺寸长为1 855 mm,大端直径为150 mm。经过最终仿真检验,证明通过仿真方法确定了不碰撞情况下的最大尺寸的磨杆。Abstract: Aiming at the grinding rod with large length-diameter ratio used for machining a non-rotating cone cover, the machining simulation method is adopted to explore its maximum size without collision. Initial size of grinding rod is determined and 3D model is established. CATIA software is used to generate the machining track covering the inner surface of cover, and a special post-processor is developed to generate G code. The machining simulation is completed by VERICUT software. According to the simulation results, the structure of grinding rod is optimized, the diameter of collision place is reduced, and the diameter of non-collision place is increased. The length of grinding rod is 1 855 mm and the diameter of big end is 150 mm after optimization. The final simulation proves that the maximum size of grinding rod without collision is determined by simulation method.
