Abstract:
Motorized spindle (MS) is a new type of spindle integrated with motor, and is the first choice of high-speed machine tool spindle. In the process of machining, vibration fault of MS often occurs, which affects the rotary precision, service life and workpiece quality. In this paper, research progress of vibration fault diagnosis and cure namely vibration control of machine tool MS in recent years is reviewed. Vibration fault diagnosis of MS mainly adopts two ideas: signal processing and machine learning. The former focuses on frequency spectrum and time-frequency analysis of vibration signal, and the latter focuses on dimension reduction, classification and clustering analysis of fault data set. Fault cure is the target of fault diagnosis, which includes active balancing of rotor and active adjusting and controlling of bearing and motor. Research on fault diagnosis of MS is still lack of neural network, deep learning and trend prediction, and application degree of fault cure technology is not high, which still needs the continuous effort to develop intelligent MS.
