Abstract:
This paper discusses the concept, characteristics of oversized gear with addendum modification and its comparative advantages, from the point of hobbing characteristics and hob wearing rules, makes it clear that theoretical minimum length of the hob cutting edge should meet two basic requirements, focuses on the analysis of the method on axial shift piecewise hobbing oversized gear with addendum modification by standardized hob, and provides two simple technological measures: start-stop circulation path by hob axial shift and how to determine the reference point and start point, briefly describes the causes of the abnormal phenomena in the use of standardized hob; in order to improve the quality and efficiency of teeth surface and hob durability, especially for super helical gear with larger hobbing modulus, higher tooth surface hardness and oversized addendum modification of wide tooth surface, this describes how to improve the cutting process. The combination of theory and practice has strong practicability.
