Abstract:
In order to reduce the difficulty of fender complete stamping process simulation, improve the simulation accuracy, and lesson the incidence of design change, a SUV model fender was studied. The detailed die face was designed in CAD platform, and the detailed die face was simulated in CAE platform. Feasibility of complete stamping process for fender was verified, and the potential forming defect was recognized instantly. According to the result of CAE simulation, the die face of fender was optimized. This study showed that workload difficulty offender complete stamping simulation was decreased dramatically, the first time pass rate of formability was higher than before, and the simulation accuracy was improved significantly. Therefore, the incidence of design change was lessened after die mechanized, and the simulation of complete stamping process for fender was turned to more efficient and accurate.
