Abstract:
Surface micro-texture is widely used in anti-wear and drag reduction, mechanical sealing, and improving the lubrication state of the contact surface. However, it is extremely difficult to process micro-texture on the surface of high-hardness and complex-shaped parts using traditional machining methods. This paper uses EDM technology to process the pit-like micro-texture on the surface of GCr15 hardened steel parts. First, the temperature field changes during the micro-texture processing are simulated on the ANSYS platform, and the depth-to-diameter ratio of the texture is predicted. An experimental platform was set up for operation and processing, and the experimental results were observed and measured with an ultra-depth-of-field microscope. The error between the simulation and the experimental results was less than 10%, which verified that the method is an effective surface micro-texture processing method.
