Abstract: The research on magnetic blank holder method in recent decades is summarized comprehensively. According to the source of magnetic force, this paper classifies and summarizes the magnetic blank holder method from the aspects of theoretical introduction, numerical simulation, design of die and experimental research. By comparing and analyzing the advantages and disadvantages of various blank holder methods, it is believed that the magnetic blank holder techniques are worthy of popularization and application in the engineering field. Finally, some problems and further research directions are discussed, which would provide some assistance for the further researches on blank holder methods.
