Abstract:
In the field of large hot strip mill drive, AC motor as a drive motor to replace DC motor is the inevitable development trend. With the advantages of low cost, small mass, easy operation, simple structure, reliable operation, easy maintenance, and the ability to be used in harsh environments such as flammable and explosive, AC asynchronous motors are widely favored in the main drive field of large hot strip mills. In this paper, we design a model predictive torque control system for a high power and low speed hot strip mill asynchronous drive motor, and design a load torque observer to do feedforward compensation for the speed external loop controller. The simulation results show that the control system can effectively control the asynchronous drive motor of the hot strip mill with fast response and high stability.
