Abstract:
An electric pulse riveting method was proposed aiming at the problems of large structure and low energy conversion efficiency in electromagnetic riveting. Firstly, the energy conversion process of electric-electromagnetic energy-mechanical energy was deduced through the analysis of the principle of electric pulse riveting, and the finite element modeling and simulation method was used to simulate the electric pulse riveting forming of rivet, which provided the basis for the principle analysis of electric pulse riveting forming and the selection of equipment parameters. Secondly, electric pulse riveting equipment is designed and developed. The key parameters of the prototype are determined by simulation. On the basis of circuit design, the pulse power supply and riveting gun are developed. Finally, 28 electric pulse riveting tests were carried out with charging voltage as a variable to complete the research of electric pulse riveting technology. The results show that the qualified rate of the height and diameter of the rivet tail in each test is 100%, and the energy utilization rate of electric pulse riveting equipment is higher.
