Abstract:
In order to enhance the precision and efficiency of flange processing for new energy vehicle rear axle housings, an optimized dedicated turning center was developed. This machine achieves one-time clamping for flange processing on one end, encompassing operations like face turning, threading, external turning, drilling, and boring. Leveraging SolidWorks2022 modeling and Simulation finite element analysis, a maximum allowable smoothing pressure of 90 N was determined. Cutting tests verified compliance with drawing specifications at 67.5 N pressure, achieving a production rate of 24.41 pcs/h, meeting an annual output target of 100 000 units. This development offers an effective automation solution for similar flange parts in the automotive industry.
