Abstract:
In order to study the characteristics of cutting force when drilling TC4 small holes, orthogonal test and one-way test methods were used to investigate the influence of basic drilling parameters on axial cutting force and torque of the drill by taking the drill diameter, drilling speed and feed as factors, and empirical formulas for the axial force and torque were established on the basis of the test results. The results show that the influence of drilling parameters on axial force and torque is in the following order
d >
fn >
vc, when the drilling speed is 20 m/min, the axial cutting force and torque are lower, which is conducive to reducing the machining error caused by cutting force. The empirical formula for the axial force and torque has a high degree of fit and high significance, and it can accurately calculate the axial force and torque of the drill within the parameter range of the test system.
