Abstract:
In the process of transforming from a mid to low-end manufacturing model to a high-end manufacturing model, enterprises face key challenges such as how to establish a dominant manufacturing model from up to 58 advanced manufacturing technologies (or models), achieve organic integration of multiple advanced manufacturing technologies in the dominant model, and ensure that future emerging manufacturing technologies can effectively embed into existing dominant models. These issues constitute the core challenges of building a high-end manufacturing model. Firstly, various advanced manufacturing technologies have been scientifically classified, and existing advanced manufacturing technologies have been divided into three major technology groups according to their characteristics, namely information technology driven group, management technology driven group, and manufacturing technology driven group. Secondly, the system has sorted out the origins, concepts, and characteristics of 58 advanced manufacturing technologies, and analyzed their inherent correlation mechanisms and synergistic effects. Finally, the overall framework of the high-end manufacturing model is provided, including the dominant mode, information integration architecture, basic supporting technologies, integration of auxiliary technologies, and integration of lean production, laying a solid foundation for the transformation of the high-end manufacturing model.
