Research status and prospect of image processing technology in tool wear detection

In this paper, the development status of tool wear detection in image processing technology is summarized, and the trend of application of tool wear detection in image processing technology is prospected. Firstly, the paper introduces and summarizes the tool wear detection system. Secondly, the related contents of image preprocessing, wear region extraction, edge detection and wear status recognition are discussed in detail. Finally, combining with the new situation of computer vision and artificial intelligence, the prospect of tool wear detection in image processing technology is presented.
