Analysis on crack for double-thread screw of high strength alloy steel and process improvement

  • For a cracked double-thread screw of steel 42CrMo which connected turbo-generator rotor with pedal type fan, analyzed the formation mechanism, the problem is well solved by adopting the process of roughing, (normalizing + quenching and tempering) heat treatment, and semi-finishing (finishing) to meet the relevant performance requirements.
