Numerical simulation of single-row static pressure thrust gas bearing based on Fluent

Abstract
Using Fluent simulation software, the numerical simulation film model of single-row static pressure thrust gas bearing was established, and the simulation calculation was carried out with this model. The influence of various parameters of single-row static pressure thrust gas bearing on the static characteristics of the bearing was investigated. From the simulation results, we can know: when 0.008 < h0 < 0.016 mm, the diameter of the pressure equalizing cavity is positively related to the bearing capacity and stiffness of the gas bearing; when 0.08mm < d1 < 0.22 mm, the larger the d2 is, the larger the bearing capacity of the bearing is; when h0 > 0.016 mm or d1 < 0.08 mm, d2has no effect on the bearing capacity; when 0.08 mm < d1 < 0.22 mm, the smaller the h2 is, the larger the bearing capacity is; if h2 > 0.04 mm, h2 has no effect on the bearing capacityand stiffness.
