Design and experiment of electrochemical machining device for closed integral turbine

  • The scheme of ECM-EDM combined was proposed aiming at the channel of the closed integral turbine which is so deep, narrow and distorted that tools were unable to approach. Based on the UG software, the authors designed the ECM fixture for the internal and external channel, which solved problems of sealing and the design of passageways, positioning and clamping, conduction and insulation and so on. In the experiments, the authors optimized the structures, then verified the reliability of the devices.
