Study on flexible abrasive jet polishing(passivation) process of fine cutting tools

  • In view of the existing problems of tool polishing, a new tool refinement process with good effect and wide application is put forward, namely, tool rotary flexible abrasive jet polishing(R-FAJP), and the influence of spray pressure, tool speed, machining time and clearance distance on the roughness of tool flank was studied by orthogonal test. The cutting test results show that R-FAJP can effectively improve the service life of PCD milling cutter and reduce the machining surface roughness.
