Study on properties and applications of additive modified WC cemented carbide

  • The research progress of density, oxidation resistance, corrosion resistance, hardness, fracture toughness, strength and wear resistance of modified WC cemented carbide at home and abroad is systematically discussed. The factors that restrict the properties are briefly analyzed from the aspects of composition, microstructure and sintering process. In addition, the applications of modified WC cemented carbide in cutting tools, mining tools, molds, wear and corrosion resistant components are introduced and the future development of WC cemented carbide is prospected, providing reference for expanding the research and application of WC cemented carbide.
