Experimental study on precision grinding technology of aluminum-based diamond

  • The new composite material of Aluminum fund diamond is an indispensable material in aerospace and electronic packaging fields in China, but it is very difficult to precisely process it. In this paper, experimental study of precision grinding of Aluminum fund diamond was conducted by using ELID grinding technology, To explore the influence rule of different grinding parameters on the machined surface quality of a Aluminum fund diamond, and the process parameters of each factor were optimized. The optimum process parameter combination were obtained for grinding depth 9.3 μm, grinding wheel linear velocity 36 m/s, duty ratio 63.7% electrolytic current 11.5 A.The surface roughness Ra=149 nm is machined.
