Research on starting technology of PMSM in rotating state based on anti vibration sliding mode observer

  • To solve the starting problem of permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) in rotating state, the traditional sliding mode observer was improved in terms of anti-vibration. A starting strategy for permanent magnet synchronous motor in rotating state based on anti-vibration sliding mode observer was proposed. The mathematical equation of the sliding mode observer for permanent magnet synchronous motor was established, simulation calculations were conducted, and an experimental testing platform was built for experimental verification. The study found that the starting strategy of permanent magnet synchronous motor under rotating state based on anti- vibration sliding mode observer can effectively solve the motor starting problems under different working conditions such as static start, forward speed start, and negative speed start. The sliding mode observer can track the rotor speed and position with high accuracy. Due to the use of a low-pass filter, the sliding mode observer has a certain phase delay between the rotor position and the actual position. The feasibility of the anti- vibration sliding mode observer and the correctness of the starting strategy of the permanent magnet synchronous motor in the rotating state were verified through experimental testing.
